Reiki Healing Sessions

Reiki is a calming and peaceful healing technique that allows one to go inward and allow the energy of pure light and love to calm and heal the body. A Reiki practitioner is a conduit to bring more of this energy and it move through the body to release blocks or stagnancy. Reiki allows the energy in the body move freely and with love and light, to be able to allow one to feel balanced.

Speech-Language Pathology

Individual speech-language pathology services are available for adults with neurogenic or physiological disorders that impact speech, voice, language, cognition, and swallowing.

Voice disorders

Voice disorders can present as hoarseness, quiet voice, difficulty with vocal control, due to damage to vocal cords, polyps, nodules, neurological changes, cardiovascular history, and surgeries.

Aphasia

Aphasia is the loss of language comprehension or expression due to changes in the brain, particularly a stroke or head injury. People with aphasia may have difficulty finding the words they want to say, expressing simple wants and needs, understanding what is being said, reading and/or writing.

Cognitive-communication disorders

Cognitive-communication disorders include memory issues, problem solving, difficulty with attention, difficulty with organization.

Motor speech disorders

Motor speech disorders include apraxia and dysarthria. Apraxia is defined as having difficulty with speech coordination. Dysarthria is changes to the muscles strength or tone. These disorders are caused neurological changes, including Parkinson’s disease, strokes, brain injuries, Multiple sclerosis, ALS.

Dysphagia (Swallowing disorders)

Dysphagia is a problem with swallowing. There can be issues with chewing, swallowing, or having a feeling of food getting stuck. Swallowing problems can also be caused by neurological changes, cardiovascular history, and surgeries.
